HE Goes Before You!

I was lying in the bed awake early this morning, meditating on the word and talking to the Lord. I was going over a dream that I had that night (something I do every morning while things are fresh in my mind), listening for the Holy Spirit to reveal any issues of my heart, which are often revealed through my dreams….I am a work in progress (lol). I was also praising and thanking the heavenly Father for His faithfulness to Albert and me concerning our home.

A few weeks back we had received a letter from our mortgage company, stating that we were delinquent in our payments and was on the verge of going into foreclosure, possibly losing our home. There had been an internal miscommunication within the company, but of course, when that happens, the burden of proof lies upon the customer. For two weeks the mortgage company had us jumping through hoops, some that we had already jumped through months prior. It was a very stressful process, not because of the things they had required of us, but because of the power they seemed to hold over our lives. I did not like the fact that although we did all that was necessary to prove our “innocence”, it was, seemingly (cause God is in control), still going to be up to them whether or not we were exonerated. Not cool!!!

I don’t want to bore you with all the details, but in the end, My Father was, once again, FAITHFUL. We received a letter apologizing for the late fees that had been accessed to our mortgage. The letter stated that they reviewed our track record and could see that we have been faithful customers. Not only did the letter indicate that we were no longer considered delinquent, but they made sure to remove all late fees and charges. Hallelujah!!

So I’m lying there in the dark, thinking on all of this and praising the Lord. Thanking Him for once again causing us to triumph over yet another battle. Although I was happy and rejoicing over this victory, my heart kind of half rejoiced for a second as my mind began to drift to all of the other battles that still needed to be fought. It was if I was rejoicing in my spirit, then my head slightly turned and caught a glance of a stack of battles that were still pending

(I just love Jesus) Right when I felt my heart sinking, the Holy Spirit began to speak. He said to me, “He goes before YOU!” As if to say, “What are you fretting over? He’s got this and He’s got you!” I began to really ponder and meditate on those words as they continued to ring repeatedly and loudly in my spirit….”He goes before me! He’s got this! And He’s got ME!”

I began to take heart and rejoice once again. I love the Lord with all my heart and I love the fact that He always send words to encourage and comfort my soul and spirit. I was reminded through that simple phrase that it is HE is faithful (Hebrews 10:23). I was reminded that it is He who goes before us to fight our battles (II Chronicles 32:8). It is HE brings vindication and justification to those who are in Christ Jesus (Romans 4:25; I Corinthians 1:30). It is HE who holds the heart of (earthly) kings in HIS hand and turns it, as water, whithersoever HE wills (Proverbs 21:1). It is HE whose favor and grace rest upon us and causes us to have favor with God and Man. And I was reminded that it is HE who causes us to triumph in all things (II Corinthians 2:14). I need not fear what man can do to me (Psalms 118:6), because the battle is NOT mine, but it’s the Lord.

“This day will the LORD deliver thee into mine hand; and I will smite thee, and take thine head from thee; and I will give the carcases of the host of the Philistines this day unto the fowls of the air, and to the wild beasts of the earth; that all the earth may know that there is a God in Israel. And all this assembly shall know that the LORD saveth not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD's, and he will give you into our hands.” I Samuel 17:46-47

People of God, Take courage! Be bold as King David was when he went up against the uncircumcised Philistines…I loved when he said to his enemy, “THIS DAY will the Lord deliver you into my hands…”

I don’t know what battle you may be facing, but I pray that a spirit of King David, the worship warrior, will be upon you today and that you will SPEAK to your enemy knowing that the Lord has given him into your hands. Remember, the Word says that our enemy is as a roaring lion (I Peter 5:8), but OUR God, who is the Lord of Host, the Lord of many armies, is Jesus. He is our Lion of Judah. Hallelujah!!!

Find rest, peace and victory in Him today!
