What Do You SEE?! (Part II)
This is continued from yesterday....it's a little long, but I believe it's a word of encouragement for us all. Be BLESSED!!
The new day comes and His mercies are fresh and my spirit man is alive with expectation. I was looking forward to being like Mary that morning, sitting at His feet, eating the good part:”But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:42). The Father was faithful and began to speak to my heart. He asked me, “What do you see?” This was a question He asked me a few years prior.
The Holy Spirit led me to the verse in the first chapter of Jeremiah when the Lord asked the Prophet Jeremiah the same question. Jeremiah’s response was, “I see a rod of an almond tree” (Jeremiah 1:11). The Holy Spirit went on to speak to my heart concerning the almond tree (KJV says branch), explaining its meaning (to hasten) and letting me know that He was watching over all that concerned and was hastening to perform it. It was word of encouragement to me and Albert that greatly needed at that time. As I thought about and recalled all that the Lord had spoken to me at that time, for the life of me, I could not figure out how it related to my situation at hand.
Well, I learned over the years not to quickly dismiss things when it seems that it’s not making sense. I have learned to be patience and wait on the Holy Spirit and allow Him to lead me into all truth. I continued to meditate on the scripture and word the Holy Spirit had given me throughout the day, still not making the connection. Then finally, the next morning (lol), the Spirit of the Lord spoke to me and said, “There be more with you than against you.” I was familiar with that bible story behind that and quickly began to search the scriptures to find it so that I could read in context. And find it, I did.
“So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, and said, “LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” ~ 2 Kings 6:8-23
The word the Holy Spirit had given me was found in 2 Kings (read 2 Kings 6:8-23). After reading the whole passage, the Holy Spirit spoke to me again and said, “What do you SEE?” Then it HIT me. That’s the connection. My perception is everything, especially when it comes to spiritual things. Of course I knew that, but the thought of surgery and the risk involved were so overwhelming that I was shifting my focus. My perspective, my vision, my focus, determines my course of direction: whether praying, living, dancing, or whatever. I need to be able to “see” in the spirit, so that I can walk it out by faith. What I “see” is invisible to the natural, yet it does exist in the spirit. This is the way are live, by faith: “Now the just shall live by faith” (Hebrews 10:38). Faith is NOT blind or empty. It has substance.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” ~ Hebrews 11:1
What I “see” in the spirit is a means to activating my faith at levels that defy the natural. As a matter of fact, the natural realm may be speaking the opposite of what I see in the spirit and you and I must be careful not to allow the natural to dictate our actions or reaction. I often say, “I live in what I SEE,” spiritually that is. I purpose to live life seeing people and perceiving situations as the Spirit of the Lord reveals. The word of God says, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Over the years many have used that as a mantra for building funds and other vision casting avenues in the body of Christ. All of that is well and good. However, I want to challenge you to look at that verse a little differently. I want you to think, “Where there is no [sight, seeing], the people perish.”
I believe that the Father desires us to SEE what He sees. I believe that He desires that we see beyond our situations, our circumstances, our sickness, our financial woes, our marriage problems, our wayward children. I believe the Lord is challenging His people to live our lives in another realm: To be in the world, but not of the world. He desires that we DWELL in the His realm: Where HE lives. Where He dwells sickness, disease, hurt, and pain cannot remain. Hallelujah!
The Holy Spirit drew my attention to these passages of scripture in 2 Kings and Jeremiah to remind me to focus my spirit on Him and the realm of the Spirit, not the natural. In the natural I’m limited, by science, by doctors, by finances, and even by people, but in the realm of the spirit, in HIS presence, there are NO LIMITATIONS. Now, wrap your mind and spirit around that!!!!!!
When we see as the Father sees then FEAR GOES and FAITH COMES. The servant in the passage of scripture in 2 Kings was afraid for himself and for Elisha. Why?! He was afraid because he couldn’t SEE what Elisha saw. When the servant came to Elisha in a panic, in his wisdom, he didn’t beat the man down, but rather used it as a teaching moment for his servant (and us). Yes, they were surrounded. Yes, there were armed men ready to harm them. Yes, they were without defense against them. Yet, Elisha understood that his servant was missing an element in the current situation. The servant was seeing only what was visible to the natural eye, so Elisha prayed that the Father would open his spiritual, to see the unseen. When the servants spiritual eyes were opened his perspective changed. Think about that. IF we could but only dwell in the things of the spirit, His truths, fear and worry would instantly dissipate. This is a must for us every day…to dwell with Him. Spend time in prayer and worship unto Him and you WILL find rest for our soul.
This word has encouraged my heart, increased my faith, and given me a blessed hope. This is one of the KEYS to victorious living. I pray that your spiritual eyes are opened and that you are able to see the unseen in your situation. I pray that the Spirit of the Lord causes you to see things, not according to the natural, but according to the spirit. I challenge you to open your eyes and see your situation from a different perspective. See it according to the word of the God, HIS truth. Then dwell there and rest in Him.
I love the Father. He in His loving kindness and gentle way was reminding me, His prophetess, His handmaiden, His Daughter, to “SEE” Him. He was reminding me to focus on His abilities, His power, His Authority. There is nothing that the enemy can do to defeat me, or Katheryn. My focus is no longer on the growth in my daughter’s throat, but on the TRUTH that by HIS stripes she is HEALED.
My Love Song to HIM! Dorothy C.
I am crying as I read this blog. God open our spiritual eyes so we can see beyond our situations and problems. Help us to remember that "I AM" holds our world in HIS HANDS. Therefore, nothing is impossible for us in the name of JESUS. ~Dede~
